The Chief Executive Officer of the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan (NEIP) , John Kumah has said that the President Nana Akufo-Addo government has so far built 82 factories under the One-district One-factory initiative, 19 of which has been completed and commissioned.

Mr. Kumah affirmed that in his capacity as the NEIP boss, he was present at the commissioning of the 19th factory at Asutsuare in the Shai Osuduku District of the Greater Accra region.

Speaking on Happy FM’s Epa Hoa Daben show, Mr. Kumah indicated that within the space of one year the Nana Addo led government has built 82.

“Within one year, the Nana Addo government has built 82 factories. 19 completed and commissioned factories under the 1D1F. I John Kumah was present during the commissioning of the 19th factory at Asutuare and I have photos and videos to show you,” he said.

He also asserted that, a factory cannot be built overnight so Ghanaians should be patient because President Nana Addo will deliver on all his promise.

“We don’t use one day to build a factory, so Ghanaians must be patient with the government, we will deliver,” he assures.

The NPP prior to winning power in December 2016 promised to build at least one factory in every district in the country.

However, 18 months after winning power, the governing NPP has been accused of failing to deliver on the promise although it has a mandate of four years to finish.
