General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Volta Region, James Ganu has taken a swipe at Anita Desosoo following her claim at the just ended delegate congress of the NDC, that Voltarians not in the Party leadership is worrisome.

Anita Desosoo has said on record at the just-ended delegates congress of  NDC that   “there is no Voltarian in the game…”, and urged the party to subject the outcome to deep thinking.

Mrs. Desosoo’s remarks has not gone down with some Party bigwigs, who described her outburst as unfortunate.

Speaking on Happy FM‘s Epa Hoa Daben show, Mr. James Ganu fired a potshot at the former national vice chairperson over her assertions and said that the just ended delegate congress of the opposition NDC is not ‘Olympic Games’ where every region is expected to go back with a trophy.

‘’Congress is not Olympic games for every region to be expected to go home with medals’’ he said on Happy FM.

‘’I believe delegates chose persons who will help the party win 2020 elections,” he continued.

He further explained that, the assertions that the Region is not duly represented is misplaced.

‘’There are a considerable number of Voltarians in the Executive Committee Members the likes of Edem Agbana, Ruth Sedor, Evelyn Enyonam, Kobby Barlon and Abigail Elorm Mensah are all from the Volta Region and have top positions.’’

‘’Aside from that, all the ten regions are duly represented on the committee so there will be no vacuum created at the end of the day,” he deduced.
