YFM, Ghana’s number one urban station, on Friday held its mega Area Codes Jam event at the Junction Mall in Nungua, to commemorate ten years of providing professional, entertaining and award-winning content to listeners in Ghana and beyond.

The YFM Area Codes Jam dubbed ‘A YFM 10th Anniversary Special’ was part of the various activities lined up by the station as it celebrates 10years of being the most sought-after radio station in Ghana.

The event, which was heavily patronized by music lovers in Accra, brought together scores of some top-notch Ghanaian musicians on one stage to celebrate the station’s birthday with their fans from Friday, November 30 through to December 1, 2018.

Some of the great music acts who rocked the stage include Kwesi Arthur, Wendy Shay, Praye, Edem, DKB, Tic, Buk Bak, Keche, AI, Captain Planet, and an endless list of groundbreaking performers on the Ghanaian music scene.

Speaking about the Area Codes Jam, Eddy Blay Programs Manager at YFM said “We promised to have a big birthday party with our fans, musicians and clients at the Area Codes Jam as we celebrate our anniversary and that is exactly what we did. We at YFM want to commend our loyal listeners, clients and the musicians
for helping us pull off the massive birthday party.”

The Area Codes Jam was climaxed when Mr. Ernest Boateng, Chief Executive of the Global Media Alliance Group, together with the management and staff at YFM came on stage to cut a big birthday cake to crown the event.

YFM’s Area Codes Jam is a free annual entertainment show held in some selected communities around the country to give back to the station’s loyal listeners.

Area Codes Jam was sponsored by Chicken Inn, Pizza Inn, Creamy Inn, Snappy Snacks, Sound Masters, Accra Brewery Limited, Liberty Industries, P2 Events and Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited.
