Ghana tennis star Felix Lartey clinches Bronze medal at the 2018 Abidjan International Open

Ghanaian tennis player Felix Lartey has successfully participated in the inaugural edition, the Abidjan International Open, held on Friday 14th and Saturday 15th December in Ivory Coast at the Sports Palace of Treichville.

Among 101 players who represented eight countries [Benin, China, Gabon, Ghana, Nigeria, Togo, France and the host nation Cote d ‘ Ivoire] and competed in the tournament organized by the Ivory Coast Table Tennis Federation (TTF), Lartey won for himself a bronze medal for placing 3rd.

The Gold medal went to Adel-Kader Salifou while Azeez Solanke claimed Silver after finishing 2nd.

However, the United States of America (December BTTC international Open tournament ) has extended an invitation to Lartey to participate in the Butterfly December BTTC international Open tournament to be held in Davia, Florida.

Following the invitation, Lartey expressed his profound gratitude to the American embassy in Ghana for inviting him to partake in the renowned December BTTC international Open describing it as an honour.

Lartey won a medal at the 2015 All Africa Games and recently competed in the Commonwealth Games in Australia.

He is an Immigration officer with the Ghana Immigration Service.
