The Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has debunked reports that he has been invited for questioning over the death of murdered investigative journalist Ahmed Hussein-Suale.

The outspoken MP said he has not been invited by the Police or any of Ghana’s security agencies over comments he made about Hussein-Suale last year in a televised broadcast on NET2, a television channel he owns.

The journalist Ahmed Suale was an employee of Tiger Eye Private Investigations, a private security firm until he was gunned-down late Wednesday by two unidentified gunmen on a motorbike while driving home around Madina in Accra.

There had been reports that he has been invited by the Police for questioning in relation to the death.

But an angry Ken Agyapong speaking on Asempa FM’s Ekosii Sen on Thursday said he is yet to be invited by the Police.

“No policeman has come to me…Anas and his cronies seeking to sway attention and spoil the investigation by focusing on me…,” he said.

He alleged severally on the show that Anas and his Lawyer have a hand in the death of Anas and that caused them to focus attention on him.
