6 Things you didn’t know about the late Ebony

A year ago, news of the demise of Ghanaian musician, Ebony Reigns and friend, Franky Kuri hit many Ghanaians hard.

Ebony Reign died in a gory accident at Nyamebekyere near Mankranso in the Ahafo Ano South, a district in the Brong-Ahafo Region on Thursday, February 8, 2018.

Here are the facts you need to know about Ebony;

  1. Ebony Reigns, christened Priscilla Opoku Kwarteng, is the last born of her mother, Beatrice Oppong Marthin.
  2. She would have been 22-years-old by Saturday 16th February, 2019. She was born on 16th February 1997.
  3. Her latest song is ‘Be Your Driver’ which was released by her father, Nana Opoku Kwarteng.
  4. In March 2016 Ebony released her major hit single “Kupe”
  5. Songs released by Ebony after her death are ‘Konkonsa Police’ and ‘Be Your Driver’
  6. Awards won after her death are Female Act of the year for 3Music Awards; Artist of the Year, Afropop Song of the Year and Album of the Year at the 2018 VGMA
