Nana Addo Pledges to Make Accra cleanest city by 2020

As one of his campaign promises, President Nana Akufo-Addo has reiterated his stance to make Accra the cleanest city in Africa by 2020.

According to Nana Addo, he will make sure Accra is heralded as the cleanest city anywhere in Africa.

While addressing parliamentarians in his annual State of the Nation (SONA) address in Accra, the President said he has his eyes firmly on that pledge.

“My promise still holds that I will make Accra the cleanest city in Africa by the end of my term,” he said.

The President also added that extensive discussions are being concluded on ways to relieve Ghana of its plastic menace.
