GFA presidential hopeful Wilfred Osei Palmer donates GH¢7,000 into Northern Region Top 4 Women’s tournament

Former Executive Committee member of the Ghana Football Association Wilfred Osei Kweku donated a whopping sum of Gh¢7000 in the just ended Women’s Top 4 tournament.

The Ghana FA presidential hopeful was represented by Alhaji Karimu Star and Upper East Regional Football Association chairman, Salifu Zida at the closing ceremony of the Women’s Top 4 competition that ended yesterday at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium in Tamale.

The donation was to cover cost of operation, trophies, individual awards as well as officiating fee.

In a statement issued on his behalf, Mr. Kweku Palmer assured the people of the Northern region of his full commitment towards the development of football in the area when given the mandate to ascend the seat of the nation’s football governing body.

Meanwhile, Northern Ladies emerged winners of the tournament after beating rivals Pearlpia Ladies 2-0 in the finals. Captain of the Black Maidens Mukarama Abdulai, who featured for Northern Ladies, was crowned top scorer with 6 goals.
