A memorable night awaits players of the Ghanaian beverage industry as the highly anticipated Ghana Beverage Awards comes off this Friday at the Kempinski Hotel Gold-Coast City, Accra.

This year’s Awards, which is the third of its kind, is expected to bring together beverage manufacturers, consumers, regulators, key government officials and other influential personalities.

Speaking on the awards, Chief Executive Officer of Global Media Alliance, Mr. Ernest Boateng said;

“Finally, Global Media Alliance is ready to host all the beverage players at an event which recognizes hard work. Since the beginning of the year, we have been working intensively with stakeholders to ensure that this event comes off successfully and we are happy to announce that the time is here with us.”

“As organisers we are looking forward to an eventful night amidst good food, great live band music and the beverages that we celebrate. We are hopeful that the most deserving brands will be decorated with honours on the night. This year, we will be giving away awards including the new additions International Wine of the Year, International Beer of the Year, International Spirit of the Year and New Beverage of the Year, he added.

Last year, Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited emerged top winners by bagging home the Product of the Year and Beer of the Year Awards with Guinness Foreign Extra Stout.

Ghana Beverage Awards aims at recognizing outstanding beverage companies excelling in their various specialties under the theme ‘Drink Ghana, Inspiring Excellence in Ghana’s Beverage industry’.

The Awards is in partnership with the Consumer Protection Agency, Food Research Institute, Food and Beverage Association of Ghana, Ghana Tourism Authority and the Ministry of Tourism Arts and Culture and Ghana Drinking Bar Operators Association.

Media partners are YFM, Happy FM, Citi FM, Oman FM, e.TV Ghana, Net 2, B&FT, Kwese TV, EIB Network, Today Newspaper, Daily Guide and Daily Graphic.
