Prince Appiah ready to win Klottey Korley seat for NPP in 2020

Prince Appiah Debrah has picked and filed his nomination forms to contest for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary primaries in the Klottey Korley Constituency (KKC) of the Greater Accra Region slated for September 28, 2019.

The occasion, which could be described as a mini rally, was characterized by a procession of NPP faithful and sympathizers of delegates from the constituency to support him pick his nomination forms through the principal streets of Osu amidst brass band music and dance on Wednesday 31th July 2019.

Addressing the enthusiastic gathering, Mr. Debrah pleaded with the  rank and file of the KKC delegates for unity, adding that the party can only win the seat if there is unity.

He said the party needs unity, love, and peace to win the seat in 2020.

“If we have unity, love and we work hard; I know victory will be ours in 2020”.

Mr. Debrah, presenting the forms to  Juliana Aboagye, the constituency Chairperson, stated that the grassroots were looking for a unifier hence their support for him.

Some of the delegates who spoke during the occasion said, Mr. Debrah has the party at heart and has demonstrated to the rank and file of the party in the Constituency.

“We are supporting him because he has the party at heart.. he’s a unifier… We the delegates need him to help more people in KKC as he is doing…Please let us all support him”.

Mr. Prince Appiah Debrah was born at Osu to Susana Lankai Odartey of the Odartey Sro We and Mr. Ernest Kofi Debrah of the Asona clan of Akyem Oda.

He was raised entirely at Osu by his maternal grandmother, Maakpa Adoley Kpakpo of Adokwei We of Osu Ashanti whilst his parents sought greener pastures in the United States.

The young Mr. Debrah went about town by his middle name Appiah, and he was a well-known footballer in the Osu Klottey school circuit in those days. He attended Osu Presby Boys’ Primary School, Osu Salem Boys’ School, Oda Secondary School for GCE O’levels and, Labone Secondary School for his A’levels before proceeding to the University of Ghana where he graduated with a double major in Law and Accounting in 1996. He attended the Ghana School of Law before moving on to the prestigious Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois where he graduated top of his MBA class with Distinction in Advanced Management Accounting.

Mr. Debrah started his career at the accounting firm of Arthur Anderson in Chicago in 1997 before assuming various senior management roles at SG Fimat, Komatsu America and Caterpillar Inc before returning home to Ghana in 2009. He currently works at the National Health Insurance Authority, and a licensed legal

Mr. Debrah is a public-spirited individual and has championed many educational and community development projects at Osu. He has been an active mniiember of NPP at Osu since 1992 and was participated in the daring Kume Preko demonstrations in 1995 as a student activist at the University of Ghana.

He brings to the Klottey Korle constituency NPP a new sense of optimism to galvanize the grassroots at Osu and solidify our strong base at Asylum Down and Adabraka.
