The Executive Director at the Centre for Youth Development, Geoffery Ocansey has criticized the Ghana Education Service and the Government of Ghana on the new curriculum of Comprehensive Sexual Education (CSE) in the country.
He was speaking on Happy FM’S current affairs talk show, “Epa Hoa Daben” show hosted by Nana Afrifa Mensah.

“It is disheartening to see such sexuality education for kids. What baffles me is the education on condom use. I believe the Government and the Ghana Education Service is entering a wrong room”, he said.

According to him, Government can venture into teaching Ghanaian students about craft work, agriculture or history instead of teaching them about sexuality at a tender age.

He added that as a country that upholds ethics and morality, we need to fight against this project initiated by the Ghana Education Service in order to help the country.

The Comprehensive Sexuality Education introduced by the Ghana Education Service is set to begin next year. This program is intended to teach pupils in all public schools on sexual rights and reproductive health.
