An aspirant for Western Regional Football Association chairmanship, James Asiedu Kainyah says he has the capacity to lead the region as he aims at continuing the works of his former boss, Kojo Yankah.

James was vice to Kojo Yankah in the region and believes he has the knowledge and experience to improve and develop the game in the region.

In an interview on Happy FM’s Sports morning show, Anopa Bosuo Sports, he said, “Honestly, I believe Kojo Yankah has done really well for the Western Region and it’s time for me to continue from where he left off”.

James also outlined some of his plans to be executed when he wins the seat.

“We play colts league in some of the districts so when I take over, I will improve upon them and introduce one for women’s football”

“One of our major problems in our region is player license, which I will work on when I win the seat. As passionate as I am about this issue, I know the clubs are buying into it and they will help me resolve it”.

James Asiedu revealed that he petitioned the Vetting Committee to disqualify Alhaji Fuseini Mahama, an aspirant for the Western Region Football Association chairman.

“If I say that I wasn’t the one behind the petition sent to the vetting committee to disqualify Alhaji who also wanted to contest I will be lying; because I did.”

“I told the vetting committee that some of the aspirants won’t be truthful when they come so I helped them with the information”

The Regional FA elections will be held on 18 October, 2019.
