Supreme Warriors Cricket club and Everest Cricket club have booked a place in the semi-finals of the ongoing Ghana Cricket Association President’s Invitational T20 tournament.

Supreme had a walk over in the game against Kyebi Leopards last weekend and topped Pool B with eight points and Net Run Rate (NRR) of +3.073.

Kyebi Leopards boycotted the game after making complains of the bad nature of the pitch. However the Umpire decided to allow the game to progress after his assessment of the pitch.

Supreme will face second placed team in Pool A, Carel Super Kings in the semi-finals on Oval B.

Meanwhile Pool A leaders, Everest Cricket Club will play United Cricket Club in the first semi-final on Oval A on Sunday.

Everest Cricket Club edged out Salt ‘n’ Pepper on Oval B to progress to the semi-finals.

Everest finished the match in 6.4 overs with 21 runs for two wickets and won the match by eight wickets.

David Nii Ashong Ankrah was adjudged Man of the Match after the game. He took four wickets and gave away five runs in three overs.

Captain of Everest, Sriyan Lakmal Perera in an interview with Talksense Sports said they will not underestimate any club, “We have senior players in our team, Ghanaians and Indians who are used to T20. We will not underestimate any team, but we keep our plans in every game and remain focus. That’s what brings us the victories.”

While Everest finished top of the Pool with 8 points, Salt n Pepper ended their campaign on a poor note after their famous 2 runs victory against Nsoroma GPS in the opening matches.

All Clubs at least secured a win in the tournament, apart from Defenders XI in Pool B.

The semi-final games come off this weekend at the Achimota Ovals.
