Following his brief speech urging patrons present at the 2019 BET Hip-hop Awards to make Ghana their destination when planning on visiting Africa, the government of Ghana has appointed Sarkodie as the official Ambassador for the “Year of Return” initiative.
Minister of Tourism, Arts & Culture, Hon Barbara Oteng Gyasi also honoured Sarkodie with a citation for his achievement and immense contribution to the music industry.
The unveiling of Sarkodie as the official Ambassador for the “Year of Return” initiative took place at the ongoing 2019 Ghana Creative Industry Forum at the National Theatre, Accra.
