Ghanaian musical genius and award winning rapper of BBNZ, Kojo Cue has credited his decision to venture into rap music to highlife legend Obrafour.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Ayekoo After Drive, he stated: “I decided to venture into rap after listening to Obrafour’s ‘Abebrese’ at age nine. I could relate to every word of the song and I was really taken aback as a kid.
I was moved to know rap can take on such a form to address social issues. It was really special to me.”
The Oseikrom based artise revealed that, the diction and style used by Obrafour got to him and became a benchmark for making his music.
Ko-Jo Cue is currently promoting his must listen album, ‘For My Brothers’ which has really dope tracks addressing everyday issues.
