United Nations Youth Ghana (UN Youth) whose mother agency is the United Nations Association Ghana(UN) has signed a memorandum of understanding with some NGO’s to strengthen their partnership in advocating for the youth.

The NGOs who partook in this event includes YALI Alumini Association, Give Me Hope Foundation, LAMA Consult and International Youth Empowerment Summit.

Explaining the rational behind this event, the Country Director of UN Youth Ghana Madam Lilian Sally Addo said some of these organisations have being working with them and is time to officially affirm their partnership with the UN body. She noted that once theres partnership, these NGOs have their permission to use the UN Logo.

“Once you become an official member or you partner with UN Youth, you have the privilege to use our Logo and we can also use yours” she said.

Madam Lilian Sally Addo said UN Youth is going to team up with these NGOs for other programs as the Xmas season is drawing near. She revealed the Directors would be talking to chiefs in some part of the areas as the association is planning of venturing into farming next year which forms part of their SDGs.

“We are going to work on building food shelters accross the country” she noted.

She added is a blessing to give and most of these organisations are doing these voluntarily to help module the agenda of the UN.

She said the main aim is to ensure peace and security for the youth and has therefore called on everyone with the heart of giving to come on board to support the vulnerable youth in the society.
