Barcelona beat Atletico Madrid 1-0 in Antoine Griezmann’s first game against his former team since moving to the Camp Nou in the summer.
Lionel Messi scored in the 86th minute to move the Blaugrana to the top of the La Liga table and drop the hosts to sixth place with the result.
In a game that looked destined for a draw, a quick-thinking Messi found room down the right flank before playing a one-two at the top of the box and firing home past Jan Oblak to silence the Wanda Metropolitano crowd with just a handful of minutes remaining.

Barcelona are next in action on Saturday when they host Mallorca at the Camp Nou. Atletico will visit Villarreal on Friday.
