The Administrative manager of Accra Hearts of Oak, Hackman Aidoo has responded to reports circulating in the media concerning the club’s contract extension agreement with Fatawu Mohammed which was done on a piece of paper.

The image circulating on social media had Fatawu’s contract extension details on the paper which had been signed and stamped by the club’s Chief Executive Officer Frederick Moore.

Responding to the issue on Anopa Bosuo Sports on Happy FM, Hackman Aidoo said, “There is no need to hide the contract of the player. What is circulating in the media about the contract of Fatawu Mohammed is not true”.

He disclosed that the paper seen in public is just a personal agreement between both sides which is private and the official contract with the club’s letter head will be done later and be presented to the Ghana Football Association.

“What we are seeing is something that Vincent Odotei started. It’s just a preface to the actual contract to be signed. It is just an agreement between the CEO and the player before the details are transferred to the letter.

“This is just a negotiation agreement between the CEO and the player and what is even circulating is not something official but an agreement before the main contract is signed”, he explained.

“The purpose is to keep the words or negotiation of the player and the CEO intact before they both met again and to sign the official contract.  This is done to ensure each party agrees to what was discussed earlier on.

Hackman started emphatically that there is no official agreement between Hearts and Fatawu yet.

“This is never a contact because a contract is signed between two parties and in this case the player hasn’t signed on the sheet circulating”.
