HMS smokes out Ashaiman MCE; He is now playing the blame game

The Happy Morning Show (HMS) team led by Samuel Eshun gave an ultimatum to the Ashaiman MCE, Albert Boakye Otchere to account to the people of Freetown a suburb of Ashaiman about the ‘Gbeemi’ stream bridge -else they will petition President Nana Akufo-Addo-.

The MCE heeded to the ultimatum and came out to speak to the issues. However, he claimed the construction of a bridge on the ‘Gbeemi’ stream is beyond him.

‘’Have you seen the river, the Gbeemi river is from Klagon to Michel camp. It is very big I do not think the Assembly can afford to construct a bridge. What we do is to desilt the river to prevent flooding. Hydro should construct the bridge’’ the MCE stated.

Speaking on the ‘Happy Morning Show’ on Happy FM, he blamed everyone except himself in all his submissions.

He blamed the residents of Free Town

‘’The people who live along the river bank dump refuse and defecate into the river. The river is also very big so nobody should live along its banks. Some of the inhabitants are living on the water way’’ he stated angrily.

He blamed the media

‘’We have to demolish some of those living in the water way. But when we do, you sit on radio and accuse us of rendering people homeless’’ he noted.

He blamed the authorities

‘’The authorities know the Gbeemi river is very big and Hydro should have constructed banks along the river’’ he said.

It can be recalled that it was reported, Teye Bazooka, a resident of Free Town singlehandedly constructed a bridge over the Gbeemi stream. However, according to the Ashaiman MCE, it is impossible for the assembly to do same.

Join the trio, Samuel Eshun, Fati Shaibu-Ali and Raymond Nyamador on Happy Morning Show every weekday (Monday to Friday) 5:30am to 9:00am.
