2019/20 GPL Match Report: Hearts beat Dwarfs 2-0

Accra Hearts of Oak defeated Ebusua Dwarfs 2-0 to record their first win of the season at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday in match day three of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians had lost their two opening games and were under pressure from the fans to win this game.

Joseph Esso scored the Phobians first goal of the season through a free kick in the 30th minute to put his side in front.

Kwadwo Obeng Junior nearly double the lead for Hearts but his effort hit the woodwork just some few minutes later.
The first half ended with Hearts of Oak leading 1-0.

After recess, the Phobians continued with their dominance and pushed for the second goal.

Dwarfs goalkeeper Issah produced a double save in the 53rd minute to prevent Hearts of Oak from scoring the second goal of the game.

Kofi Kordzi scored a beautiful free kick in the 56th minute to stretch the lead for the phobians.

Dwarfs got a consolation in the 70th minute through Albert Ato Hammond.

Dwarfs goalkeeper Razak Issah came up with a beautiful save to deny Kofi Kordzi from getting a brace in the game.

Hearts of Oak after this win have moved to the 11th position on the league log.
