The National Lottery Authority (NLA), in partnership with ‘Wotiriye’ a local lottery operative has launched *787# mobile phone-based game onto the Ghanaian market.

The innovation allows the general public to play the digital lottery game from the comfort of their homes using their mobile phones and stand a chance of winning up to GHc20, 000 weekly.

Speaking at the launch, the Director-General of NLA, Kofi Ameyaw revealed that the initiative is in line with one of the ideologies of government which is aimed at digitizing all state institutions.

“Just by dialing the code *787#, patrons will go through a process to partake in the game on their phones. The USSD allows users to purchase tickets with 5 Cedis using their mobile money wallets and winning payment is made immediately to their wallets once the results are announced.”

Ameyaw also disclosed that maximum payout is GHc20, 000 cedis but will eventually rise to GHc50,000 in subsequent games.

The NLA urged the public to partake in the new digital lottery which can be played on all telecommunication networks using the shortcode *787#.

How It Works

Followers who want to perform and win massive at their very own benefit just have to dial *787# and follow the prompts on their cell telephones. There is a compact payment of Ghc 5.00 to engage in, and contributors can acquire from 6 distinct prize categories with weekly wins of up to 20,000 cedis and a jackpot that will commence at Ghc 50,000.

The game is played by the draw of random quantities and winners are established by matching the selected digits with pieces of their cell phone figures. The match has previously run in a pilot plan in specified elements of the place and has been incredibly properly acquired.
