Former Chief of Defence Staff, General (Rtd) Joseph Nunoo-Mensah has suggested that political parties should create their manifestoes in the framework of a national development plan to rid of the situation where governments do not complete projects initiated by previous governments.
He was speaking in an up close interview on the Happy Morning Show aired on Happy 98.9FM.
“We don’t have a national direction that is why governments don’t complete the works of previous governments. We need a national agenda. We don’t have a plan. Manifestos must be within the content of national development agenda otherwise things will be bad for us”, he said.
In his opinion, Kwame Nkrumah was a president whose ideology was towards a national development agenda. He added that none of the political parties had impressed him with their policies.
