General (Rtd) Joseph Nunoo-Mensah, a former National Security Adviser has revealed that he foresaw the June 3rd flood disaster six years before the flood occurred.

He was speaking in an interview on the Happy Morning Show aired on Happy 98.9 FM when he stated” On the 3rd of June, 2015, there was a massive flood in Accra which messed up Accra and a lot of people lost their lives. Six years before then, I started a campaign. It was just as though, I was prophet Isaiah. I mentioned that if we don’t take care, there will be disaster in Ghana. The letter I wrote about the disaster was on 3rd June, 2009, exactly six years apart”.

According to him, he saw the impending danger because of the excessive use of polythene bags and its indiscriminate disposal in the country.

“I told them our gutters were choked so we must ban polythene because it will cause disaster. Up till now our gutters are choked with polythene. I have spoken about this for a long time”, he added.

On June 3rd 2015, a massive flood coupled with fuel leakage from a filling station causing fire at Circle in Accra brought havoc by claiming the lives of over a hundred people.

Join the trio, Samuel Eshun, Fati Shaibu-Ali and Raymond Nyamador on Happy Morning Show every weekday (Monday to Friday) 5:30am to 9:00am.
