Highlife star, Kofi Boakye Yiadom known in showbiz circles as Kofi B is dead.

Sources close to the family have confirmed to Happy FM’s Mercy Bee that Mobrowa hitmaker died in the early hours of Sunday.

He was billed to perform on Sunday at the 60th birthday anniversary of Dasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, Chief of Abeadze Dominase Traditional Area in the Central Region.

Narrating the incident, Kofi Nti, a colleague musician said the deceased musician showed no sign of ill-health when they got to Dominase.

He was at his hotel on Saturday night getting ready for the show when a noise was heard from his room.

He admitted, that Kofi B was on medication but had his medicine from Endpoint Clinic with him.

Kofi Nti also dismissed reports that Kofi B was poisoned.

Kofi B is known for hit songs such as Mmbrowa, Bantama Kofi Boakye, Koforidua Flowers among others. He has performed on so many stages and as well won some awards.

He was from Asante Akyem Agogo in the Ashanti Region.
