Captain and talisman of the Black Stars, Asamoah Gyan scored on his first touch as the Black Stars cruised to a 2-0 victory over Uzbekistan giants Bunyodkor in the team’s first pre-AFCON preparatory game.
Frank Acheampong scored the second goal to complete the win for the four-time African champions.
Fatau Dauda started in post for the Black Stars with Harrison Afful, Baba Rahman, John Boye and Jonathan Mensah holding the fort in defence.
Mubarak Wakaso, Agyemang Badu, Christian Atsu and Andre Ayew dictated affairs in midfield while Jordan Ayew and new boy Bernard Terkpetey led the attack.
The Black Stars will leave for Dubai for Gabon on the 13 of January for the Africa Nations Cup ahead of the tournament which begins a day after their departure.
