GPL: Hearts come from behind to beat Bechem United 3-2

Kofi Kordzi’s late strike secured the win for Hearts of Oak in their match day 10 fixture against Bechem United at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.

The Phobians came from behind to beat Bechem United as well as pick their first home win since match day three.

Bechem United scored first in the game through Prince Adu Kwabena from the penalty spot.

Hearts of Oak equalized with some few minutes to end the first half through Kofi Kordzi.

The two sides went into the break with both sides with a goal each.

After recess the Phobian dominated the game and with a lot of pressure on the Bechem defense scored the second goal through Captain Fatawu Mohammed.

Hafiz Konkoni pulled parity for Bechem United with a cool finish to level the game at 2-2.

Hearts of Oak were heading to their third home draw of the season until Kofi Kordzi came up with a beautiful header which went pass the goal keeper into the net for the third goal of the game.

Kordzi with a brace on the day was adjudged man of the match.

At the Baba Yara Sports, the Ashanti derby between Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold ended in a draw as both sides failed to score after regulation time.
