The GFA as part of its efforts to contribute towards the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic informed government on the availability of the national camping facility to be considered as an isolation center.

There were agitations from residents of Prampram and traditional leaders on the proposed move by the GFA but through a dialogue between GFA officials, government and the community the facility is likely to be used as an isolation center.

Speaking in an interview with Happy FM, Oduro Sarfo commended Odiasempa Kwame Oware for the brilliant idea to help government at this crucial point.

“I would like to commend you for this brilliant idea to the GFA. It shows your contribution in supporting the activities of the GFA towards the fight against coronavirus”, he told Happy FM.

He added that plans are far advanced and the facility will be upgraded after its usage, which will benefit the Football Association.

“As part of measures to ensure the facility is well secured, there are plans to fence the property and this is one of the benefits the FA will enjoy”.

“The FA has had several meetings with the traditional leaders and it looks positive the facility will be considered and used as an isolation center”, he added.
