Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak, have denied signing ex-Inter Milan and Portsmouth star Sulley Muntari.

Reports went rife in the local media that the former Ghana International had agreed to join the Ghanaian giants on a two-year deal.

Happy Sports understands that the Hearts of Oak are in contact with Muntari and negotiations are still ongoing between the two sides.

A statement from the club to debunk the reports about signing the ex-Black Stars midfielder read: ”@HeartsOfOakGH wants to notify the general sporting public that we have not signed Ghana International Sulley Muntari as it’s being reported by the media. Sulley is a great player and a friend of the club. We will continue to unveil the players we have signed.

”@HeartsOfOakGH is the Premier club in Ghana and will continue to set the standards, we therefore edge our supporters not to rely on information unless it comes from our official handles.”

Muntari has previously trained with the club last season before joining Spanish Segunda side Albacete.
