Former Ghana Football Association (GFA) Executive Council member, Kojo Yankah, says the FA should extend the financial support from FIFA to the various stakeholders of the Association.

The GFA is set to receive $500,000 from the world governing body as stimulus package due to the coronavirus pandemic. The amount represents the operational funding for member associations for the years 2019 and 2020.

Some Ghanaian clubs have called on the GFA to extend some support to them when the FIFA money arrives.

Kojo Yankah in an interview with Odi Asempa Kwame Oware on Wamputu Sports on Happy FM said, the GFA should extend support to the various stakeholders during these difficult times as the Covid-19 has affected everyone.

“The clubs must be given some of the money. They should also pay the referees and match commissioners who are owed”.

“The Covid-19 has affected everybody and this is money from FIFA. If everybody will get a penny they will appreciate it”, he added.
