New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s Parliamentary hopeful and Municipal Chief Executive for Anyaa Sowutuom, Dr. Emmanuel Lamptey, has vowed to deal with the problems of unemployment and infrastructure in the constituency when elected into power.

In an interview with Kwame Afrifa Mensah on ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ he outlined the problems facing the constituency and the strategies that will be used to tackle these problems.

“Human and infrastructural development at Anyaa Sowutuom is still my vision. One of the problems in my locality is unemployment. So whatever we will do to employ the youth will be done. We want to build an entrepreneurial base at Anyaa Sowutuom. I believe in self-employment and that is how we want to empower the people economically”, he said.

When quizzed about what he would do to promote the polices in Government, he stated that, parliament as a hand of government, has its own policies, agendum and priorities, however he is highly aware of the issues of his constituents which remains his utmost priority hence, he would not want to make any promises with regard to parliament until he is voted to be a Member of Parliament (MP).

“I don’t want to give wishful thinking. I have not been to parliament so I need to get there so I can bring policies that can promote the quality of life. There are priorities in parliament. So wherever I can contribute, I will”, he said.
