The former General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as ‘Sir John’ is dead, party officials have confirmed.
Reliable sources said he died of COVID-19 while on a ventilator at an intensive care unit.
Sir John, who is the head of the Forestry Commission, since the Akufo-Addo government assumed office passed on Wednesday.
