#WamputuTransfer: Beşiktaş ready to sign Kevin-Prince Boateng from Fiorentina

Ghana international Kevin-Prince Boateng has vowed to help the families of the Offinso road accident victims with “anything” after extending his condolences to the bereaved families who lost their children.

The 33-year-old, who reunited with former AC Milan owner Silvio Berlusconi on Monday after completing his permanent move to Serie B club Monza on a one year deal from Fiorentina revealed, he was saddened when he read the sad story on the internet.

Players and officials of African Vision Academy, a juvenile club based in Offinso in the Offinso district of the Ashanti region, were involved in a fatal accident on Saturday, September 19, which claimed seven lives, while others sustained varying degrees of injuries.

On Saturday, September 26, a restorative seminar for the victims of the gory accident was organized by the Ashanti Regional football Association (ARFA) and the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

Kevin-Prince Boateng having monitored proceedings from his base in Italy has extended his condolences to all the families and disclosed, he is willing to support the families who children perished through the road accident.

“I heard about it and it made me really sad to be honest”. Kevin told Joy News

“I heard about it on social media then I called a friend of mine to ask him if it was really true and what happened, and he told me about it and I felt really sad about it because, I have two kids on my own, one is 12 and one is 6 so I think it’s like a big tragedy, it hit me hard you know.” He added.

Emotional Prince-Boateng however promised to support anything to help the families involved wipe away their tears.

“Every more details you know about it makes you more sad, so that’s why am here and I wanted to talk to you guys and wanted to let you know that, I want to help”

“Anything that’s is necessary that would help, I want to get in touch with the families, I want to give them the necessary thing to feel free, I know it is hard and I can’t even imagine how hard it is for parents to bury their kids but I just want to help them to free their minds.

“My condolence to all the families who have lost their children and happy for the other kids who made it out safe and we will keep in touch so please let me know what I can do and I will be ready to help. He finished.

Four of the juvenile footballers who died have been buried and all the hospitalized players have been discharged.

Meanwhile, A mass burial for the other three will take place on Thursday, October 1 with government taking charge of cost of the burial.
