The Ahafo Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, has assured residents of Tano North that all abandoned and uncompleted projects initiated under the previous government will be completed by the current administration to enhance development in the region.
Speaking during a working visit to Duayaw Nkwanta in the Tano North Municipality, the Minister noted that several infrastructural projects including classroom blocks and dormitories were left uncompleted, negatively impacting growth and service delivery in the area.
She disclosed that, based on observation made during the inspection tour alongside the Regional Coordinating Director and the Municipal Chief Executive, the Regional Coordinating Council would soon engage the contractors and consultants responsible for the stalled projects. This engagement is aimed at understanding the reasons behind the delays and strategizing on how to resume and complete the projects promptly.
“We have seen too many important projects left halfway. We will be calling on the contractors and consultants to brief us on the challenges so we can find ways to complete them.”
Municipal Chief Executive for Tano North, Mr. Pius Opoku, also expressed his commitment to ensuring that all abandoned projects within the municipality are completed under his leadership. He emphasized that completing these projects is critical to improving the quality of life for residents.
“The people of Tano North deserve better. We are committed to ensuring that all stalled projects are completed to boost development and improve lives.”
