Adisadel College’s 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) lead contestants, Prince Nuakoh and Sylvester Arizie, obtained 8As in the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE). Other members of Adisadel’s NSMQ team including Balak Anyan, Eugene Ward, Kirk Amponsah, Kofi Danso, and Daniel Aryeequaye also scored 8As.

For the young Sylvester Arizie, this is another iconic moment in his career, having previously represented Ghana in the International Math Olympiad.

Adisadel College’s contribution to science and technology on a global scale has been remarkable. Ave Kludze, the first African to fly spacecraft in orbit, Thomas Mensah, the Ghanaian chemical engineer whose single-handed work made fibreoptic technology commercial, and Nii Narku Quaynor, the current president of the UN Secretary-General Advisory group on ICT are all proud alumni of Adisadel College.

In the field of Medicine, Adisadel also stands tall. Prof. Seth Aryeetey, the founding Provost of the University of Ghana College of Health Sciences, Prof Harold Amoono-Kuofi, the founding Provost of University of Cape Coast Medical School, and Prof. J E Mensah, the Head of Surgery at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital are also alumni of Adisadel.

Adisadel College remains a National Pride, with multiple science awards including the 2016 National Science and Maths Quiz champions and 2021 National Robotics champions. To continue churning out global leaders in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM),
Adisadel College is building the first STEM laboratory in Ghana.
