Ghana’s Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin has been re- elected chair of the Conference of Speakers and Presidents of African Legislatures (CoSPAL) in Accra.
The re- election occurred at the 2nd General Assembly which took place on Friday October 25 and ended on Sunday October 27, 2024.
At the two- day assembly, delegates adopted a new CoSPAL constitution which saw the re- election of the Speaker.
He is joined by five regional Vice- Chairs and a Secretary- General.
Alban Bagbin’s re- election sends a strong signal of support for his leadership as African legislative heads gathered to advance strategic priorities for the continent.
