Chief Executive Officer of Bofoakwa Tano, Alexander Ababio, has shared his strategic plans and aspirations as he vies for a position in the Division One League (DOL) Executive Council of the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

With the GFA’s general elections set for October this year, Ababio is determined to bring his wealth of experience and insights to further elevate Ghana’s football landscape.

In an interview on Happy FM, he said, “Under my leadership, Debebi United have managed to secure Division One League promotion. If you look at the players we recruited to achieve this, it speaks volumes about our commitment. We have meticulously prepared for the upcoming matches, ensuring that every aspect is catered for”.

Ababio also emphasized his ambitions for the Premier League, stating, “Bofoakwa Tano, one of the giants in Ghana football, has made a triumphant return to the Premier League after a considerable absence. This achievement reflects our dedication and the strides we are making in reviving the team’s legacy.”

As the GFA Elections Committee unveiled the list of candidates competing for various positions, including the DOL Clubs Executive Council Positions, Ababio’s name stands out among the contenders. Alongside other notable individuals like Mark Addo, Eugene Noble Noel, and Gideon Fosu, Ababio is part of a formidable roster. With only three candidates to be elected to represent DOL clubs, the competition is fierce.

The Ghana Football Association’s general elections is slated for October this year.
