The countdown is on as YFM, Ghana’s number one urban radio gears up for exciting performances from an array of music stars lined up for the Area Codes Jam in Takoradi.
Slated for September 21, 2019 at the Takoradi Mall (Kwame Nkrumah Round about, behind the Jubilee grounds), the event will feature top Takoradi based artistes like Kofi Kinaata, Ayesem alongside Kwame Eugene, Kidi, DopeNation amongst a host of others.

The Area Codes Jam is the biggest non ticketing community-based concert aimed at giving underground artistes the needed exposure while established artists give back to society.
Typically, YFM will give opportunities to young artists from Accra like to display their musical prowess on the Area Codes Jam stage. Underground artists Accra will join colleagues Ras Ebo, Expo and Nemesis Loso who are Takoradi based.

Programmes Manager for YFM Takoradi Mr. Agyekum Gyimah Akwasi speaking ahead of the Area Codes Jam, expressed gratitude to listeners of Y 97.9 FM for their continuous support.

“This year’s edition of Area Codes Jam is our way of thanking listeners for making the station and the Area Codes Jam number one; without them, we cannot be at the top for this long. I am encouraging them to continue listening to us’’ he said.

He also commended Black Rock Honey Whiskey and the Takoradi Mall for supporting the event. “I appreciate Black Rock Honey Whiskey and Takoradi Mall for coming on board as sponsors to help us push this concept of giving to society and nourishing talents is laudable. I am counting on the thousands of supporters of YFM Takoradi to converge at the Takoradi mall come 21st September, 2019 for the thrill of their lives’’ he said.
