Anas drops hints about investigating ‘Galamsey’ and Parliament

Ghanaian investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has disclosed that he will begin investigations into illegal mining and corruption in parliament at the right time.

The investigative journalist explained that he will not be pressured into conducting investigations.

Speaking at the 2018 TPF National Media Festival, he added that anyone, irrespective of his or standing, once enveloped in his sting operations, will be exposed.

According to him, no one can force him to conduct investigations into areas he is not prepared for but said he will relent in all his efforts to name, shame and jail.

He reiterated that once he starts whoever is considered a bad guy would be enveloped, promising to churn out stories that have core evidence to nail the perpetrators.

Touching on threats to expose his identity coupled with claims that his investigations fail to stand the test of time, he explained that “nobody can shake my foundation because my investigations stand the legal test.

“I go through rigorous legal tests when I pick any story and look at the legal perspectives.”
