Some internal security members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) have promised to retaliate over what they described as heinous treatment meted out to them by the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Ghana Police Service.

Violence erupted at the Bawleshie Presby A & B polling centre in the Ayawaso Wuogon constituency Thursday morning during the by-elections to elect a successor to the late Emmanuel Kwabena Kyeremateng Agyarko. Some seven people have sustained various degrees of gunshot wounds have been sent to the Achimota Government hospital for treatment.

Speaking to Happy FM Reporter , Joseph Nii Ankrah, some angry members of the NDC said, “if our party leaders will sit there and watch, we the party grassroots will not. We are going to prepare and fight back.”

“We want our leadership to also provide us with guns so that we can also face the NPP squarely,” they stated.

According to these devastated and furious NDC loyalists, they know members of the invisible forces who hurt their friends and they plan not to let this act of defiance and debauchery slide.
