Parliament’s Appointment Committee has received the list of President Mahama’s nominees for the Supreme Court.
The Committee will consider the President’s letter by vetting the nominees and reporting back to the House.
President John Dramani Mahama nominated the seven Justices of the Court of Appeal for consideration and appointment to the Supreme Court in April.
The nominations, made in accordance with Article 144 (2) of the 1992 Constitution, are subject to approval by Parliament.
The justices include; Justice Sir Dennis Dominic Adjei, Justice Gbiel Simon Suurbaareh, Justice Senyo Dzamefe, Justice Kweku Tawiah Ackaah-Boafo and Justice Philip Bright Mensah, Justice Janapare Bartels-Kodwo and Justice Hafisata Amaleboba.
