WAEC to release 2025 BECE private candidate results today The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced that results for the 2025 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) for private candidates will be released by the end of today, Friday, September 5. Speaking at a media briefing, WAEC’s Public Relations Officer, John Kapi, confirmed the release timeline and shared key statistics. “A total of 1,661 private candidates, 858 males and 803 females, registered for this year’s BECE. This marks a 19.49% increase compared to last year,” he stated. According to John Kapi, the provisional results for school candidates were released earlier on August 23, with 603,328 students participating from 20,395 schools. WAEC noted a 5.99% rise in school candidate numbers. Kapi also addressed examination integrity, saying, “Candidates who infringed on the rules governing the conduct of the examination were appropriately sanctioned following investigations and the advice of the Council’s relevant committee.”

Bethel Baptist Church Dansoman announces its Ghana Day Food Bazaar as part of the ongoing 50th Anniversary celebrations under the theme “Celebrating the Goodness of the Lord, Abounding in Every Good Work.” The Food Bazaar is scheduled for Sunday, March 9, 2025, at our church premises in Dansoman, representing the third major event in our Year of Jubilee calendar.

The church has already successfully completed two significant anniversary activities this year: the January 29th donation program to Ghana Baptist Convention institutions (GBUC, GBVTC, GBRC, EJURA) and the February 14th Happy FM Valentine’s Mass Wedding ceremony in partnership with the media station.

Reverend Gabriel Sekyi-Yorke, Senior Pastor of Bethel Baptist Church Dansoman, states: “As we continue our jubilee celebrations, the Ghana Day Food Bazaar offers our community a chance to celebrate our Ghanaian heritage through fellowship and cuisine. This event builds momentum toward our climax celebration in September, while honoring the cultural traditions that have enriched our congregation for five decades.”

The Food Bazaar will feature authentic Ghanaian dishes including Fufu, Omotuo, Banku with Okro/Pepper sauce, Kokonte, and Jollof rice. Food tickets are now available for all these offerings.

Following the Food Bazaar, our anniversary calendar continues with several major events:

– March 29th: Organization of Iron City Mission
– April 14th-20th: 50th Anniversary Week Celebration including Easter Saturday Evangelistic Float and Easter Sunday Ordination of New Deacons
– June 4th-8th: 50th Anniversary Pentecost Week
– September 1st-7th: The grand climax of our jubilee year featuring the Encounter 25 Climax Ceremony, Honours, and Grand Homecoming

For information about the Food Bazaar or to purchase food tickets, please contact our anniversary committee at 055 122 4474 or 026 688 0120.

Throughout 2025, Bethel Baptist Church Dansoman is commemorating its Golden Jubilee with twelve major programs spanning the entire year. The celebrations will culminate during the September 1st-7th Homecoming week, with additional significant events including the October Wheels of Worship, November’s 30 Days of Fasting and Prayers, and the December 7th Annual Thanksgiving and Fundraising service.
