In a shocking turn of events, Ghanaian music star Black Sherif has reportedly been arrested at the Kotoka International Airport following a complaint filed by a cruise ship music event company.

The controversy centers around a dispute between the cruise organizers and the singer’s talent agency over a booking agreement that has raised eyebrows in the entertainment industry.

According to sources close to the matter, the cruise company had expressed keen interest in having Black Sherif perform onboard their luxury vessel. An initial deposit of $20,000 was made, sealing the deal.

However, disputes arose when the contract lacked a specific provision for promotional videos to be used in a press launch, prompting the cruise organizer to demand these videos under the threat of contract cancellation.

Black Sherif’s agency, in response, refunded the initial deposit, citing the absence of the video requirement in the contract. This move, however, did not appease the complainant, who insisted on being reimbursed $50,000 instead of the original $20,000.

The escalating tensions reached a tipping point when the cruise company filed a complaint with the Ghana Police Service, alleging a breach of agreement by the singer’s agency. This led to the involvement of law enforcement authorities and Black Sherif was reportedly stopped at the airport upon his return from a successful European tour to assist in the investigation.

An inside source close to the artist revealed that the issue seems to be primarily between the cruise organizers and Black Sherif’s talent agency, with the singer’s commitment to the event not being in question.

Lawyers representing Black Sherif are currently working tirelessly to find an amicable resolution to the situation, aiming to clear the talented artist’s name and bring an end to this contentious dispute.
