Former Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan is unhappy about the decision by the technical handlers of the national team not to invite Majeed Ashimeru for the World Cup playoff.

The Anderlecht midfielder has been in fine form this season for the Belgian giants.

After the Black Stars squad was released by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) in the early hours of Tuesday, the former WAFA midfielder was not named in the squad.

Gyan in a tweet is unhappy about the decision to leave the midfielder out of the Black Stars sqaud.

This guy @MajeedAshimeru is the best midfielder in Ghana, after @Thomaspartey22 PERIOD. I have kept quiet on this but this nonsense must stop. Smh pic.twitter.com/UVCHrnlnH5
