The C.E.O of Harbour City Records Gideon has disclosed that he ended his contract with hip life group Gallaxy because he wasn’t happy with the progress they were making.
Gallaxy claim that their royalties have been paid but they don’t know who has collected these royalties.
Responding on Happy FM‘s Showbiz Xtra to comments made by Gallaxy that he did not have business ideas, Gideon said the group did not see what they were doing as a business but they were rather thinking of their pockets.
“In the beginning I  had no Idea in the music business but  because of the pressure they were giving me, I decided to help them. I have worked with Gallaxy  close to six  years  and I have spent over five hundred thousand Ghana cedis (GHc500,000)  in the entertainment industry. I was so busy that, I even brought some industry personnel to help  Gallaxy but they  were not thinking about it as business which they can profit from. However they were rather thinking about their pockets.” He told Dr. Cann on Happy FM.
Gideon further revealed that Gallaxy brought in a guy called Jonilla to take charge of royalties so they should contact him for any such information.
“They brought in a guy called Jonilla to take charge of their music royalties, You tube and caller ringtones royalties so if they want any answers, they should ask him”.
The CEO of Harbour City Records advised anyone who wanted to come into the industry to make quick gains, should never try it because if you invest this business you will make lose.
