Hasaacas Ladies FC forward, Rahma Jafaru is happy to make her debut for the club in the ongoing CAF Women’s Champions League qualifiers against River Angels.

Jafaru joined the Ghana Women’s Premier League champions on a two-year deal from Northern Ladies.
Speaking exclusively to happyghana.com, the 19-year-old revealed that it was her dream to play for a club in the Southern zone.

“It was my wish to play for one of the teams in the Southern Zone so it was not Hasaacas ladies in particular but Allah blessed me with this opportunity to be part of this team which I believe is a wonderful opportunity for me so I have to grab it with both hands.”

“I felt great when I got to know that I would be part of the starting 11 for the game against River Angels on Saturday because the team is blessed with huge talents so

making it into the squad for my debut was a special moment”.

“Unfortunately, we could not utilize our chances and we lost. I was really sad and disappointed because it was my first match with the team and we lost but Allah knows best and He is the best planner.”

She however admitted that it was difficult for her to adapt to the style of play of the team and trying to blend into the team.
“Honestly, I didn’t know their style of play because I have never played against them in the league so I was a bit sceptical at the beginning but thankfully, I knew most of the players from the national teams so individually, I knew them and how they play and move over. I have been with the coach as the former head coach of the Black Princesses so I had a smooth transition into the team.”

Rahma Jafaru was the leading top scorer of the just ended 2020/21 Women’s FA Cup with nine goals.
