Italian giants Juventus have taken subtle swipes at three of their former players for the roles they played for their current teams in their defeats against the Bianconeri in the Serie A.

Juventus are well dressed to defend their Serie A title following their unblemished start to the ongoing campaign.

The Turin-based outfit have collected 46 points out of a possible 48 after winning 15 and drawing one in 16 outings.

Those victories came at the expense of eternal rivals AC Milan, Inter Milan and Torino which had former players Gonzalo Higuain, Kwadwo Asamoah and Simone Zaza in their ranks.

The three players one or the other way played significant roles in their respective teams defeats as Massimiliano Allegri’s side continue their dominance in the league.

Below are the breakdown of the parts they played in their respective teams defeats;

HIGUAIN –Flagship of the signing campaign Leonardo, who arrived at Milan as part of the maxi-operation that also involved Mattia Caldara and Leonardo Bonucci, Pipita is undoubtedly disputing a year below expectations. But the challenge from former against Juventus at San Siro is to be counted among the worst performance of his career: failed penalty (providential Szczesny) and expulsion for protests, which were followed by two days of disqualification. All this while former Real Madrid team-mate Cristiano Ronaldo, who took his place at Juventus, blew up the Juventus fans at the Scala del Calcio.

ASAMOAH –It will not have made any noise like the Higuain affair, but the arrival of the Ghanaian exterior at Inter had – in the Nerazzurri management’s plans – constitute a major upgrade for Spalletti’s defense. 30 years old, physically complete and endowed with considerable international experience, Kwadwo started his experience in Milan, from a full-back or an added midfielder. Then the disaster at the Allianz Stadium, when he literally fell asleep on the insertion of Mandzukic: the Italian derby decided the assist of Cancelo, the header of Mario … and the blunder of Asamoah.

ZAZA –The passage of the lucano striker from the bianconera side to that Torino grenade was not “direct”: Zaza returned to the shadow of the Mole after the Valencian experience, two years after the end of the adventure with Juventus. Yet, the derby was the best possible opportunity to redeem a start of the season “horror”: the former Sassuolo failed to carve out a titular space in the attack-type formed by Belotti and Iago Falque, failing the chances given by Mazzarri. The worst moment, however, came just in the most anticipated match: the attacker’s crazy pass to Ichazo, Mandzukic anticipates the goalkeeper and earns the decisive penalty.Only the last of the gifts offered by former Juventus.
