The Controller and Accountant-General’s Department (CAGD) has announced a delay in the payment of two categories of allowances scheduled for November 2025, citing a technical hitch encountered during the final payroll run.
In a press release dated 25th November, 2025 and signed by the Head of Public Relations, Cephas N. Dosou, the Department explained that the issue affected mainly workers in the education sector and other stakeholders expecting the allowances this month.
According to the statement, the processing of the allowances was paused to prevent any further delay in the general payment of November salaries to all Government of Ghana employees. Salaries, therefore, remain unaffected and will be paid as scheduled.
CAGD assured affected workers that the technical challenge is currently being resolved. The outstanding allowances will be paid along with the December salaries on 18th December, 2025.
