Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu has recommended some players to the technical handlers of the national team after watching the Super Clash between Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko.
Agyeman Badu was at the stadium to witness the two Premier League giants battle in this outstanding fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
Addressing which players could make the Black Stars squad for the World Cup playoff against Nigeria, the former Udinese midfielder said, “Selecting players will always lie on the doorsteps of the national team coaches. Some players will need that challenge in the national team but not for the Ghana-Nigeria game. That game is a different one altogether because it goes beyond football”.
“I was impressed with Hearts of Oak left-back Dennis Korsah, he is a good player, nice passer of the ball, and has confidence.
“Sherrif Mohammed of Asante Kotoko is a player we should also keep an eye on. He really impressed me so much. Some of the players can get called up to the local Black Stars and other national teams”.
Agyeman Badu also commended the referee for fair officiating in the Super Clash game.
“I want to also congratulate the referee and it was a wonderful game”, he added.
