Ghanaian contractor, Yaw Oti has advised Ghanaians not to make any hasty moves nor take any shortcut to make money as it can destroy one’s life.

According to him, he went through a phase in his business which led him to a difficult financial crisis and decided to seek advise from his church elder.

The elder ended up taking him to a mallam claiming “the mallam was going to put an end to my problems”.

“I was desperate for help and because I trusted him, I followed him to the said mallam who was located at Kwahu Atibei…” he said.

In an interview with Rev Nyansa Boakwa on the Boneka Edition of the Nsem Pii Show aired on Happy 98.9FM, he said, “at the mallam’s shrine, he asked what I wanted and I told him all I needed was protection for my business so he charged me an amount of GHc850 and also gave me some items with directions on how to use them”.

Yaw Oti stated that, after four days of adhering to the mallam’s instructions, his son who was in secondary school instantly fell ill and was admitted to the hospital. After a while it got worse so he had to send him together with another church elder to a prayer camp for spiritual intervention.

“One day my son called me from the camp and told me he dreamt I had become very rich but then my daughter had died. I was gripped with so much fear and immediately went ahead to dispose all the items the mallam gave me because I realized if I had wasted any more time, I would have ended up losing all my children for money”.

He went ahead to say that, “my business has since then moved from bad to worse. I am currently indebted to a lot of banks and people and can’t even go out now”.

He advised listeners to work hard, pray and rather wait for God’s appointed time to make money instead of looking for a shortcut to make quick and easy money. “The devil doesn’t give you money for free. He’ll definitely take something in return”, he said.
