A new social media edition poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics shows a significant shift in voter preferences ahead of the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) upcoming flagbearership contest, with former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia (DMB) dramatically widening his lead.

According to the findings shared by Mussa Dankwah, Executive Director of Global InfoAnalytics, support for Dr. Bawumia among NPP voters has surged from 56% in September to a commanding 75% in December 2025.

The poll, however, paints a challenging picture for his closest contender, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, whose support has dropped sharply from 40% to 18% over the same period.

Other aspirants also saw notable shifts in their standings. Former Education Minister Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum slipped from 3% to 1%, while former Agriculture Minister Dr. Bryan Acheampong experienced a modest rise from 1% to 5%.

Former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyapong edged up slightly, moving from 0% to 1%.

Mussa Dankwah indicated that these figures are part of the preliminary social media edition of the poll, with the full comprehensive report expected to be released in January 2026.
